A sensor drops mid-set

Bluetooth connections drop sometimes. An athlete walks out of range, a phone sleeps, a battery dies. Enode Pro is built so that a drop costs you as little as possible.

When a connection drops on its own, the station shows the sensor as reconnecting rather than pretending nothing happened. The app searches for that same sensor for 60 seconds, and if it comes back it is rewired into the session exactly as before: same station, same athlete, same set. Only involuntary drops trigger this, so a sensor you disconnect deliberately stays disconnected.

Your reps are safe. Reps already captured are kept, even through a dropped connection, an athlete switch, or the app being killed mid-set. When things are back, you finish the set with the reps that were recorded. Reps that happened while the sensor was out of contact were never measured, so they cannot be recovered; recapture them, or add the set by hand if the numbers matter.

If the sensor does not come back, the app stops searching automatically after 60 seconds. Check the sensor's battery first, since a sensor that died will not reconnect until charged. Then wake it and reconnect from the connect sheet. If it reconnects but keeps dropping, the cause is usually range or interference rather than a broken sensor; see the next section.

The connect pill shows a red badge

Enode Pro monitors the quality of every sensor connection while you train. If a sensor is delivering noticeably less data than it should for a sustained period, the connect pill shows a red corner badge. That tells you the radio link is struggling before it turns into missed reps, so you can fix the cause instead of guessing.

What causes it. Distance is the usual answer: normal range is around 15 metres with clear line of sight, and racks, plates and bodies in between reduce it. Interference is the next most common, since gyms are crowded radio environments where many Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi access points and other electronics share the same frequencies. Device load matters too, when several sensors stream to one device at once and compete for the same radio.

What to do. Move the device closer to the athletes training, ideally with a clear line of sight. Take it out of a metal cabinet, bag or enclosed shelf if it is in one. And if you are running several stations with several sensors, spread across a second device if drops continue.

No sensor found at all

Check the sensor is charged and awake, then bring it closer to the device. Make sure Bluetooth is on; the app tells you before it starts searching if it is off.

Checking a sensor's health

The connect sheet shows each connected sensor's live details: battery, signal strength, temperature and firmware version. If one specific sensor is always the weak one regardless of position, check its battery level first, then contact support from Settings → Help & Support.

The sensor light is flashing quickly

A light flashing roughly every 0.75 seconds is an error state. A light on permanently means charging, and a flash every 2 seconds means ready to connect. If the sensor sits in the error state after a charge, contact support.
